Asian friends & travel presentation, Paris, France, 25 May 2012

Many friends and families appear in our life and leave such a mark that sometimes till death we can not forget them. I am blessed to meet such friends, I feel like I am enriching and extending my global family every time.
Tuhin is my friend, I met him in Prague. He told me then that he is a translator, working and staying in Paris. It was a long journey from East Europe to West Europe, from Prague to Paris: I crossed 20 countries. So…long time passed till this second time meeting in Paris!
One afternoon I just got a call, I was standing beside the Eiffel tower. It was an unknown number, so I was surprised. He said, “Can you remember me? I am Tuhin, I met you in Prague, I would like to meet you. I am very close to Gare du Nord train station, so when you will come here visit me.”

I went to see him on the 21st of May 2012, in the  afternoon at 4.30. He introduced me to his other colleagues who also work as translators for the same organization. He is sharing his place with another translator, Tcharou Dalgalian. His mother is Bengali and father is French, but he can speak sweet Bengali, although he is a French. I was introduced by Tuhin to all his others colleagues: Zulkipla, Tcharou Dalgalian, Arun Halder, Arbind Appatourai, Sanath Ratnayek, Yogi Kannasami, Poopalasingham Vasuhan,Satwainder Sing, Isabelle Bouvet. That day I did not meet Arindam Bhattacharya, who is the main person in the organisation and long time living here as a translator.
So it was decided that we will make a get together on the 23rd of May 2012, in the evening at 6.30. We established that we’ll also do a short presentation about my trip. I came at 6.00 pm at Tuhin; I was working with my other friends till then. I met Arindom Da this time, he was very nice to me and friendly. I had some work on the Internet and we started at 7 pm. I made the presentation about my travel, as decided previously, we had a nice discussion and in the end we had dinner and we spent time together till 11.40pm.

Thank you, my friends! Thank you for this nice evening, hopefully we will meet again! Love, peace and happiness…

About Somen Debnath

Dear friends, my name is Somen Debnath. I am a resident of the village of Basanti, Sundarbans, West Bengal, which is a great mangrove forest and the largest tiger reserve in India. My "Around the World Bicycle Tour for HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme & Presentation of Indian Culture" started on 27th of May 2004, two days after I acquired Bachelor degree in Zoology from the University of Calcutta. I have also completed 'Visarad' in Fine Arts from the Sarbabhartiya University. My goal is to cover 191 countries till 2020. I will travel 200.000 km in the whole world and reach nearly 20 million people. 118.000 km I will travel for charity, that's why I'm selling my Km to people. The support I will get from people buying my kilometres will help me fulfill my other dream: to build a Global village in my native place, Basanti, Sundarbans.
