Painting and childhood in my life

Date- 11.04.2012

Every person’s childhood comes with different colour. This color stays with us forever, makes our life more colorful and teaches us lot of things in our life.

Painting and color are two words very close to each other. I started to dream from my childhood, and that dream came from poem and short story.I always could see those stories in front of my eyes. I’ll never forget all my life.

When I was 8 years old, my dreams comes always in true manner on room-wall, on my exercise book. I painted house, kite, bird, trees, river, a boat and a man rowing boat in the river. Sometimes i lost myself within that painting. I don’t know that boatman rowing the boat, where, but it conclude me in spiritual travel. From my childhood I loved painting, so my mother took me one day to one painting school, it is not so far from my home. That school was called Muktadhara. When I first came with my brother, I saw 7-8 children also painting. In the middle of them one young man with white pyjama –Punjabi, sitting with those children and teaching painting. I was very much welcomed  by all of students and introduced by teacher. And first day I learned how to paint by two zero one papaya. I can’t forget it was very happy day. I think that papaya I painted thousand times in my life. Day by day going I am learning new and new things from my teacher and I think my best first teacher in my life, Tarak Chakrabatty. So many times he was in my dream, always i wanted to be like him. From my childhood till last time when i saw him he was as it is a strong man, teaching children year and year passed, old student gone, new student came. He is always the same enthusiastic person teaching painting, the mirror of life!

Tarak Sir, why is one great person in my life, I want to tell you. On one side he is a great singer, on the other side he is a classical and Rabindra Sangeet dancer,  an actor, clay modeller, I am really surprised what he is not! I think musical instrumental world everything he knows, When he plays Tabla (Indian drum), it amazed me. He is one of the side my guru, my master, my teacher. Lot of things i learned from him about life. With him one by one year i passed my 7 years study and i finished my master degree. One day he asked me after my master degree what i will do. I told him that i want to teach with you to small children. So every sunday i come at morning and till afternoon, 2 pm I spent time with the small kids. It was really great positive energy and I really miss it. After my 9 years study I finished my Visarad (highest study of painting). I got a great marks but till I couldn’t stop to come to my class. Now i don’t know  till when i remain a student! That journey take me here on road and don’t know where I will end it!

I want to teach with you to small children.
