Roma is around 40 kilometers southeast of Maseru, the capital of Lesotho. Roma was founded in 1862 by Roman Catholic missionaries in the valley known as Tloutle.
The Roma valley, a large open fertile area with colorful flowers, is surrounded by sandstone cliffs, and to the East by basalt mountains, named Makhetha – it is a magnificent scenery!
They say there are many dinosaur footprints in the area, some within the National University of Lesotho, and others on Roma Plateau. I could not find them.
